Description

Childhood is supposed to be safe. But these stories know better.

Stray children roam in hungry packs. A school sacrifices its students to forgotten gods. Harbingers from a doomed future confirm a childhood superstition. These fifteen unsettling tales follow children and teens poised to inherit a world that has already left them behind.

Here, trauma and transformation bleed together, monstrosity becomes an inheritance, and kids sharpen their teeth on the bones of the adults who failed them.

Rooted in fairytale and urban legend These Kids Are Not Alright is a love letter to the stories we tell to survive growing up, and the horrors we carry into adulthood.
